Permit Information

To ensure your permit application process goes smoothly, follow these steps:

1. Obtain and attach proper insurance coverage with general liability of 1 million, with a 2-million aggregate. Ensure that the insurance certificates name EACH municipality, individually, as additionally insured. (Separate certificates for workers' compensation, when applicable)
2. Complete the permit application forms accurately and comprehensively. Use local budgets, hotels, and locations when filling out the permit.
3. Note that Longboat Key follows a separate process with additional fees. Contact them directly for specific instructions.
4. Allow 5-7 working days for the permit issuance process if there are no complex elements involved such as stunts, pyrotechnics, traffic impacts, or street closures.
5. For shoots involving stunts with prop guns or explosives, allow a minimum of 10 and up to 30 business days for permit issuance.
6. While efforts will be made to expedite requests, these timeframes are standard for permit processing.
7. Road Closures, rolling stops and other traffic inconveniences will need DOT or local traffic department approvals. Give a minimum of 30 days for us to inquire and facilitate.
8. Support of local sheriffs, FWC, Police units, Marine patrol, Fire departments or other emergency services personnel or their facilities give at least a 15-day window for facilitation (additional fees and applications may be required).
9. County or City Parks and beaches are available for production with access not limited to the public. If you need closures or require special accommodation, allow 15 days for them to consider the impact on the entity.
