Description
Established in 2012 through legislation signed by the Florida Governor, Florida Polytechnic University became the 12th public university in the State University System of Florida and opened for instruction on August 25, 2014. The University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and ABET, the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology. Florida Poly’s leadership is comprised of accomplished academics and expert businessmen and women committed to strategically developing Florida Poly as the world’s best research and job-generating university.
Florida Poly’s campus is positioned on 530.87 acres of land comprised of 10 buildings hosting approximately 96 faculty members and 204 staff members. A total enrollment slightly exceeding 1,700 results in a 17:1 student to faculty ratio. Florida Poly is an affordable public university—engineered from the ground up to bring great faculty, industry partners, and like-minded students together.
