MISSION
Our mission is to provide safe and courteous transportation service in an accountable and timely manner. The Breeze mobility network includes fixed bus routes, paratransit services, and OnDemand zones. On average, Breeze provides over 150,000 bus rides, 14,000 paratransit rides, and 8,000 OnDemand rides each month.
DESCRIPTION
• All buses are ADA-accessible.
•Each bus is equipped with a bike rack that can hold two bicycles.
• Every bus has cameras installed for passenger safety.
• Breeze buses are designated a “Safe Place” for passengers in danger.
•The price for Sarasota County rides is $1.50. Children aged 5 and under, and seniors aged 80 and over, ride free. There are also: Income-based reduced bus fares, Student semester bus passes and Free Breeze Bus Rides.
• Additional programs are available for veterans, those who are medically dependent or those who require transportation assistance.
SERVICES/PROGRAMS
• Breeze Rider App: Breeze is pleased to announce the launch of the Breeze Rider app, available online at www.scgov.net/BreezeRiderApp or for mobile devices through Google Play and App Stores. Use the app to plan trips, subscribe to service alerts, and track the bus in real-time.
• OnDemand: Sarasota County offers a public, on-demand transit service. Think of us like a van that comes when you want, where you want — give us your pickup and drop-off addresses, and we’ll provide a ride.
• BreezePlus: an advance reservation, curb-to-curb, shared ride service. Reservations are accepted as early as 14 days in advance of a trip, and must be made no later than 5 p.m. the day prior to a trip.
• Evacuation Assistance: Breeze will provide transportation for you, your pets, and limited supplies to and from a general population evacuation center.
