EarthBalance and StrataPT named in 50 Florida Companies to Watch!

GrowFL has announced the 50 statewide companies expected to see significant growth over the next several years. These 50 companies were selected from more than 500 nominees for Florida Companies to WatchSM, a statewide program managed by economic development group GrowFL, in association with the Edward Lowe Foundation. The winning company’s management team, competitive market position and strong community involvement were among several factors that put them in contention for the award. Two of the 50 companies call Sarasota County home.

EarthBalance, North Port, is one of the largest hands-on ecological restoration and consulting firms in the country. They’ve been permitting, restoring, protecting, and managing ecosystems throughout the United States and the Caribbean for over 30 years.

StrataPT, Osprey, offers outpatient physical and occupational therapy practices with a true all-in-one solution for billing, scheduling, insurance and practice management. Their software seamlessly integrates with industry-leading billing, insurance credentialing and benefit verification services. “It is a tremendous honor to receive this accolade amongst such notable companies and worthy peers. This recognition highlights our dedication to setting ourselves apart by providing a software platform coupled with customer service that consistently exceeds our client’s expectations. I’m truly blessed to lead a growing team of loyal individuals who work relentlessly to guarantee the success of our clients,” said Kim Peacock, founder of StrataPT.

“These stand-out companies are all led by entrepreneurs, and have demonstrated their capacity and intent to grow,” said Dr. Tom O’Neal, GrowFL executive director. “They also all have critical intellectual property or a niche position that gives them a competitive edge in their markets,” he said. Second-stage companies are defined as those with 6 to 150 full-time employees and between $750,000 and $100 million in annual revenue. There are many programs and incubators promoting start-up businesses; GrowFL is the only Florida program that focuses exclusively on second-stage companies.

The 50 companies named the 2019 Florida Companies to Watch generated nearly $1 billion in revenue and added over 900 jobs between 2015 and 2018. Together, the companies project a 35 percent increase in revenue and 37 percent increase in job growth in 2019 compared to 2018. Companies named to the list will be officially recognized November 14, 2019 at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, FL. Tickets are on sale now for the awards ceremony.
