Around 1.5 million business and leisure passengers annually make Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) their gateway to domestic and international destinations. The six major carriers serving SRQ are: AirTran, Continental Airlines, Delta Cir Lines, JetBlue Airways, Northwest Airlines, and US Airways. SRQ is a convenient and comfortable portal to the hundreds of domestic and international destinations available through the connecting hubs of the six major carriers. In addition, daily non-stop service is available to the following cities: Atlanta, Boston, Baltimore/Washington, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Newark, and New York JFK. The communities of Sarasota and Bradenton have the convenience of one commuter airline, Cape Air, and Air Canada, a Canadian airline, which provides non-stop service from Canada. To meet the increasing demand in the corporate jet market and fractional ownership fleets at SRQ, the airport added a third fixed-base operator (FBO) with the existing two FBO’s still undergoing significant general aviation expansions.
